James Brockert ILLINOIS CITY, Illinois--James Robert Brockert, 83, of Illinois City, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2012 at his home in Illinois City. Graveside Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 5, 2012, at Island Cemetery, Fruitland. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, 2012, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of James. James was born on November 30, 1928, in Tipton, the son of Ernest and Marie Finley Brockert. On September 19, 1986, James was united in marriage to Karen Tyler. James worked for RJ Dick and retired from Carver Pump. He enjoyed mowing, NASCAR, and was a hard worker his whole life.
