Christopher James Matejka

Christopher James Matejka was born in Omaha, Nebraska on June 20, 1975. Chris grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, Oakland, Iowa and Denver, Colorado where he graduated from high school in 1994. Following school, Chris worked on various construction jobs in the Denver area. He later moved to Omaha where he worked with his cousin's construction company. Chris was a very private person who enjoyed reading, computers, Tae Kwon Do, and animals. Chris returned to Oakland and was planning on returning to school to study computer science. He died unexpectedly at his home on May 31, 2004 at the age of 28 years, 11 months, and 11 days. Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his mother Melinda Bradt and her husband John of Denver, CO; father Jim Matejka and his wife Anita of Oakland, IA; brother Andrew Matejka of Omaha, NE; step brothers Nick Bradt of Colorado and Josh Boruff of Oakland, IA; step sisters Jenny Bradt of Des Moines, IA and Crystal Boruff of Oakland, IA; niece Mia Matejka and nephew Otis Matejka of Carson, IA; other relatives and friends.
