Jacki Curtis Petersen

Jacquline Jeannine Petersen, daughter of Patricia Beatrice Katherine (Page) Brant and Gene Clair Curtis, was born in Nebraska City, Nebraska on October 22, 1959. Jacki grew up in Harlan, Iowa, where she attended school. She and her family also lived in Pacific Junction, Iowa and Glenwood, Iowa where Jacki attended high school. Jacki and Larry Petersen were married at Carlsbad, California on March 3, 1977. They made their home in Carlsbad. In 1979, Jacki and Larry moved to the Glenwood area and later separated. Jacki attended Iowa Western Community College and received her Associates degree as a parts specialist. Jacki worked as a domestic goddess at the Western Inn in Glenwood. She was one of a kind and had extraordinary taste and ideas. She loved the race track, and worked some at the Mid-America Motor Plex in Pacific Junction. Jacki also enjoyed working on motorcycles, loved Harleys and traveled to Sturgis, South Dakota as often as she could.. Her greatest loves were her children Jason and Mandi, her grandson Hunter, and her dog Chloe who traveled everywhere with her. Jacki is preceded in death by her parents, and nephew Daniel Paul Curtis. She is survived by her son Jason Curtis, daughter Mandi Curtis, and grandson Hunter Hansen all of Glenwood; sisters Pam Jay and her husband David of Glenwood, Patti Parham and her husband Terry of Pacific Junction, Leslea Lundy of Glenwood, and Roni Hays and her husband Bret of Glenwood; brothers Paul Curtis of Noel, MO and Andrew Brant and Crystal Colwell of Glenwood; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
