Don Perry

Donald Dale Perry, one of three children of Almira Louise (Beam) Perry and Roy Dale Perry, was born at his parent's home in Pacific Junction, Iowa on May 20, 1937. Don grew up in P.J. where he attended school until his senior year, when he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Don was stationed in Texas at the Shepard Air Force Base and then transferred to Greece. In 1958, Don retired from the service and returned home to P.J. He began working as a concrete mason and traveled all over the eastern portion of the country. While in Wisconsin he met Karen Mae Wolff. The couple was married in Plattsmouth, Nebraska in 1970, and later that year Don quit traveling and began his own masonry construction company in P.J. Don was a great outdoorsman who loved to hunt, trap, and fish. He enjoyed gardening and mushroom hunting and sharing those times with his family. Don died suddenly on April 24, 2007 at the Jennie Edmundson Memorial Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa at the age of 69 years, 11 months, and 4 days.
