s Lutheran Church where Bruno held offices and helped with the janitorial duties. He enjoyed being a member of the Dutch Gun Club and drove auto pushball car No. 8 for the Yellow Jackets. He served the youth of the community as an assistant scoutmaster and helped with numerous campouts. Bruno and Helen enjoyed traveling to all 48 states and spent several winters in Arizona. Bruno retired from farming in 1981 and he and Helen moved to Glenwood, Iowa. They became members of the Trinity Lutheran Church and Bruno worked as the maintenance person for their housing complex. Bruno and Helen had moved to Duff's Friendship Villa in Nebraska City, NE where a few days later, Bruno passed away on May 23, 2008. He had attained the age of 90 years, 10 months, and 21 days. Bruno and Helen had been blessed with 54 years of marriage. Bruno was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Edith Leu and George Leu who died in infancy, Erna Meyer and husband Albert, Carl Leu, Arnold Leu, Doris Leu, and Gertrude Leu; and brother-in-law Frank Clary. He is survived by his wife Helen Leu and son Lawrence Leu and wife Dawn, all of Nebraska City; grandchildren Bryan Leu of Nebraska City, Brittany Leu of Omaha, NE, Whittney Kelley of Lincoln, NE, and Savannah Kelley of Nebraska City; sister Ruth Clary of Papillion, NE; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. A memorial fund has been established.
