Thomas Leroy McNabb
WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa--Thomas Leroy McNabb, age 65, of Wapello, and formerly of Iowa City, died on Thursday, March 22, 2012, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
There will be no services and cremation has been selected. A Memorial Fund has been established for the benefit of the Wapello Community Ambulance Service and the Wapello Rescue Unit. The Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello is caring for the family of Thomas McNabb.
The son of Marvin McNabb and Dorothy LaVora, he was born on July 14, 1946, in Iowa City.
He graduated from Iowa City City High School.
He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era.
He worked as a boiler operator for the hospitals in Iowa City. After retirement he cared for his mother and step-father and later lived with his daughter, Tammy.
He enjoyed fishing.
His family includes his two daughters, Tammy Hiller of Wapello, and Teresa Ginster of Grandview; a step-son, Thomas Seering of West Liberty; four grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and a great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his father along with his mother and step-father, Dorothy and R. H. Goody.
