Ruth Mary Cink Robinson was born October 18, 1917, in Wesley, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Ciha) Cink. She grew up in Wesley where she attended St. Joseph Catholic School, country school and later attended school in Britt before finishing her schooling in Bancroft. After her schooling she worked at the Bradley Restaurant. On August 22, 1938, Ruth was united in marriage to Eugene "Bud" Robinson at St. John's Catholic Church in Bancroft. After their marriage they lived in Bancroft for a short time before moving to Algona. They later moved to Los Angeles where Bud worked at the ship yards, in support of the war, before returning to Algona. Ruth worked for 11 years at the Good Samaritan Society and later provided private in home health care. Ruth enjoyed being with, visiting and taking care of her many family and friends, as well as, being on the farm, animals, gardening and flowers, cooking and baking. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and St. Cecelia Parish. Ruth died Monday, March 26, 2012, at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona, Iowa. She was 94. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bud on October 10, 1987; granddaughter, Susan Sohler; brothers, James and Julius Cink; sister, Lillian Watts.
