Robert Arthur Fritz DAVENPORT, Iowa--Robert Arthur Fritz, 83, died March 28, 2012 at his home in Davenport. A Solemn Requiem Mass in the extra-ordinary form of the Latin Rite will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Easter Monday, April 9, 2012, at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 417 North Main Street, Davenport. Con Celebrants will be the Rev. Msgr. John C. Fritz and Frs. Michael Driscoll and Scott Lemaster as deacon and subdeacon, respectively. Burial will take place in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m. and again from 6 to 8p.m. on Sunday, April 8, 2012, at the Runge Mortuary. A Rosary Prayer Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Una Voce Latin Mass Community of St. Anthony's. Bob was born in 1928, in Flushing, New York and is the only son of Margaret and Edward Fritz of Manhasset, New York. Bob worked for Irving Trust at 1 Wall Street, NY while attending Fordham University. He worked as an accountant for various employers in New York and Pennsylvania until he was offered the position of comptroller by Bendix Corp., which prompted his move to Iowa in 1975. rted his own book keeping and accounting business in Wilton; this he ran for over thirty years until the effects of pancreatic cancer prevented him from continuing. As a young man, Bob was active in target shooting, even to the point of founding the national champion Manhasset Musketeer Shooting Team. A devout Catholic, he was active in the Church and his parish of Our Lady of Victory. He is survived by his widow, Patricia Fritz; his eight sons and their wives, 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren: Tom (wife Amy, their children Anna and Ian), Richard (wife Cathy), Ken (wife Michelle, their children Natalie, Ted and Garrett), Robert (his sons Luke and Eric), Peter (wife Diane, their daughters Liz and Emily), Paul (wife Linda, their daughters Maggie, Becky, Ashley), Jim (wife Meredith, their children Abigail, Andy, Audrey and Amelia), and Msgr. John Fritz (Chancellor of the Diocese of Rockford).
