Roy Marvin Stolen, Jr., 84, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away at his home on Thursday, April 5, 2012. He was born on September 6, 1927, in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Roy and Mildred (Harrison) Stolen. Roy attended schools in Madison, Wisconsin and Sioux City, Iowa. He served his country in The United States Navy from 1944 to 1946. on January 27, 1945, he was united in marriage to Lorraine Mostrom in Lake Mils, Iowa. Roy worked as the lead mechanic at Mercy Hospital until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hampton and a life member of the VFW. Roy enjoyed coaching youth baseball, attended his grandchildren's activities, cheating at Hearts and going to the casino. Roy is survived by four children, Richard (Donna) Stolen of Victoria, Minnesota, Steven (Rob MacPherson) Stolen of Indianapolis, Indiana, Robert (Jane) Stolen of Atkins, Iowa and Cynthia (Doug) Miller of Hampton, twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, two step brothers, Gary and Don, and a step sister, Darlene Hashman.
