Shirley Lou Curley, 84, of Burlington, died 12:30 a.m. Saturday, April 07, 2012 at the Prairie Ridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in Mediapolis surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 14, 1927 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Deverre L. and Anna Louise (Stoermer) Eastburn. She married James Louis Curley on August 18, 1948 in Burlington. He died July 28, 1997. Mrs. Curley was a homemaker. She previously worked for I.A.A.P. She was a lifelong Burlington area resident. She was a member of Hend Co Hills Golf Club. She loved golfing with her husband and attending the Masters, wintering in Biloxi, MS and their time spent in Barbados. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister Donna. Friends may call from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday, April 9th in Lunning Chapel. The graveside funeral service and interment for Mrs. Curley will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 10th in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Randy Langer will officiate. A memorial has been established for Prairie Ridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in Mediapolis, Iowa.
