Anne T. Konicki

Konicki, Anne Theodora Age 91, passed away at her residence April 7, 2012. Born May 31, 1920 to Mary & Szymon (Samuel) C. Kozak in Cleveland, OH. Married Henry E. Konicki May 30, 1942 and moved to Dayton, OH. Preceded in death by her brother, Thomas; sisters Jay (Genevieve) Jones & Stefania Angela Kozak Karpowicz. She is survived by her husband Henry; children Clifford (Diane), Kristine, Thomas (Bethany), Richard (Rhonda) all of Dayton and 6 grandchildren. Anne, called Babci (Polish for grandmother) only spoke Polish entering the English-speaking first grade. Twelve years later she graduated as Salutatorian and Commencement speaker. A full-time mother of four, she was the "go-to" person for everything in the home. She loved the Arts, learning pottery, painting, crochet, knitting and mastering calligraphy. Her elegant handwriting never showed signs of aging. At 52, she earned a degree in Early Childhood Education and worked with special needs children.
