Gary Lee Longstreth

GARY LONGSTRETH ST. PETERSBURG, Florida - Gary Lee Longstreth, 69, a former resident of Muscatine, died on Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Memorial Hospital in Tampa, Florida. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family in care of his mother, 'Eddee' Hayes. Gary was born on November 5, 1942, in Muscatine, the son of Edwin LeRoy and Edith 'Eddee' Pace Longstreth. He was a graduate of Muscatine High School, class of 1960. He was very involved in the Muscatine High School Swimming Program. He achieved state titles four years in a row and was an All American. He excelled in the butterfly stroke. Survivors include his children, twin daughters, Kim and Kelly, and sons, Greg and Jason; several grandchildren; his mother, Edith 'Eddee' Hayes of Muscatine; and one brother, Ed Longstreth of Muscatine.
