Ronald Basken

Ronald Basken, of Antigo, died of cancer on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at his home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was 63 years old. He was born on November 26, 1948 in Manitowoc a son Lydia (Soukup) Basken of Francis Creek and the late Norman Basken. He married Ann Johnsen on July 7, 2004 in Antigo. She survives. He was a 1966 graduate of Lincoln High School in Manitowoc. Mr. Basken owned and operated Ron's Auto Repair in Marion for 24 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors and the company of his friends who came to the shop for coffee every morning. In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Scott (Karin) Basken, Kenosha and David (Saki) Basken, Chicago, IL; two grandsons, Aaron and Alex Basken; granddaughter, Brenleh Anderson; great-grandson, Atticus; a sister, Sharon (Randy) Wanek, Sturgeon Bay; three brothers, Dennis Basken, John (Peggy) Basken and Jim Basken all of Manitowoc; his mother-in-law, Marge Johnsen, Antigo; a sister-in-law, Carolyn (Fred Kaske) Johnsen, Antigo; a brother-in-law, Allan (Kathy) Johnsen, Rothschild; and nieces and nephews.
