ty appointment in the Prosthodontics Department at The Temple University School of Dentistry. Over his 32 years of teaching at Temple University, Dr. Monasky achieved the rank of full Professor. He mentored and inspired numerous young dentists as they embarked on their professional careers. He was a member of the American Dental Association, The American College of Prosthodontists, The Pennsylvania Prosthodontics Association and was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years Barbara L. Monasky in 2009, his parents, George and Minnie Monasky, and his brother John G. Monasky. He is survived by his children Johanna M. (Edward) Kolonsky of Shenandoah, PA, George A. (Catherine) Monasky of New Galilee, PA, Julie A. (Wayne) Hess of Abbottstown, PA and Dr. Ann B. Monasky, CDR, DC, US Navy, and his grandchildren Maria C. and Edward J. Kolonsky III and Sophia R. Monasky. George was a member of St. Alphonsus Church in Maple Glen for 32 years. Relatives and friends are invited to call after 10:00 AM Friday June 8, 2012 at St. Alphonsus Church 1565 Temple Drive maple Glen with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Quan Trihn as celebrant. Interment will be Saturday in St. John's Cemetery, Forest City, PA.
