Audrey Gilpin

Audrey J. Gilpin, 76, of Keokuk, died at 1:06 am Friday, June 08, 2012, in Hamilton , Illinois . Audrey was born July 22, 1935, in Chicago , Illinois , a daughter of George and Emily Allen Kruckow. She married Earl Gilpin on February 15, 1951, in Keokuk. He preceded her in death on December 3, 2009. She lived in Keokuk most of her life and was employed at the Mediacom office, retiring in 2007. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Her life was centered on her husband, children and grandchildren. She is survived by three children, Jack Gilpin and wife Bonnie of Keokuk, Tammy Gilpin Townsend of Illinois, and Michael Gilpin and wife Robin of Keokuk; nine grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; a sister Betty Cady and her husband Ray of Hamilton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son in infancy, and one sister Janet. No visitation is planned. A graveside service will be at 10:30 am Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Keokuk National Cemetery with Rev. Marilyn Curtis officiating.
