Doris R. Hunt

Doris R. Hunt, age 80 of Colfax, died Friday, June 8, 2012 at Skiff Medical Center in Newton. Per Doris's whishes there will be no services. Condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com. The daughter of James and Effie (Mutchler) Hill, Doris was born on February 29, 1932 in Des Moines. Doris attended school in Colfax. She was united in marriage to Emory B. Ahn and five children were born to this union. She married Larry L. Hunt and one child was born to this union. She began working at Maytag in 1975 and retired after 22 years of service. Doris enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing and going to Prairie Meadows. Those left to honor her memory include her children: Jim (Carol) Ahn of Colfax, Emory (Nancy) Ahn of Colfax, Cindy Ahn of Newton, Dan Ahn of Colfax, Gary (Dee) Ahn of Colfax and Larry L (Gena) Hunt of Newton; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, one step great grandchild, one great great granddaughter, and two step great great grand children.
