KELLY M. PHILLIPS Ms. Kelly Phillips, of Thomas Drive in Port Washington, passed away unexpectedly following a tragic car accident early Sunday morning, June 10, 2012. She was 37 years old. Kelly was born on January 14, 1975 in Port Washington, daughter of Michael and Marie Mauch Wegner. Kelly attended local schools and graduated from Port Washington High School with the Class of 1993. She attended Cardinal Stritch University and earned her degree as a Registered Nurse in 2007. On November 19, 1995 she was united in marriage with Ken Phillips at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville. The couple raised two children together. Kelly worked as a claims entry operator for Doral Dental in Mequon for 6 years, and recently had taken a nursing position at Lasata Nursing Home in Cedarburg. Ms. Phillips was an amazing mother who was involved in her children's lives and activities. She loved painting, photography and jewelry making. Kelly found peace in going to the bluff and beach in Port Washington. She was an avid reader, Packers fan and was very into music. also of Port Washington, 4 sisters: Kimberly Crego of Port Washington, Stephanie Wegner, also of Port Washington, Marlana Wegner of Cedar Grove and Heather (Jim) Seitz of Port Washington and 1 brother Gregory (Heidi) Wegner of Grafton. She is further survived by 2 nephews: Trevor Wegner and Lucas Seitz, 2 nieces: Emily Crego and Kaylee Wegner, grandparents Walter & Lorraine Wegner of Grafton, former husband Ken Phillips of Port Washington, other family and many friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Margaret Gibbons and Ewald Mauch. Funeral Services for Kelly will be held at 7PM on Thursday , June 14th at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington. Rev. Jonathan Breimeier will officiate. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-7PM. Memorials are suggested to the Tyler & Julia Phillips Education Trust.
