Carol Mace LETTS, Iowa -- Carol Ann Mace, 66, of Letts, died on Sunday, June 10, 2012, at the University of Columbia Hospital following injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012, at the Grandview Community Bible Church. Following the service there will be a time of food and fellowship at the church. Visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2012, at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Carol was born on July 13, 1945, in Ottumwa, the daughter of Clarence and Bernice Thomann Payne. She graduated from Cardinal High School in 1964, and in 1965 she graduated from the Vera-Duane School of Hair Design in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was married to Gale Mace and later divorced. She drove the special needs bus for the Louisa-Muscatine School District for 33 years. Carol also worked at Grandview Corners, the Sombrero in Grandview and as an Avon sales agent. She was a member of Americus, and she enjoyed motorcycling on her Trike, crafting, going to yard sales and recycling cans. Carol was preceded in death by her parents.
