Joseph B. Esselman, age 77, of Franklin, OH; went to be with the Lord on Sunday July 8, 2012 at his residence. Joseph was born in Cincinnati, OH on January 23, 1935 to Frank and Ruth (Garner) Esselman. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1958 and his family owned and operated The Bake Shop in Franklin for many years. He was a very hard worker and loved his family very much. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Frank Jr., a sister Stephanie Noble. Joseph is survived by loving wife of 35 years Patricia Esselman; children Kimberly Esselman, Melissa Blakley and husband Adam, grandchildren Jacob and Madyson Kennedy, Riley, Piper, and Chloe Blakley; brothers Robert Esselman, John Esselman, and Lowell Esselman; a sister Ruth Esselman. Joseph never met a stranger and will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral services are Thursday July 12, 2012 at 1pm at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd St Franklin, OH with Rev. Lonnie Peters officiating. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be Thursday from 11am until the time of the service.
