Charles A. Callahan, age 76, of Hillsboro, OH and formerly of Franklin, OH; passed away on Thursday July 12, 2012 at Laurels of Hillsboro. Charles was born in Franklin, OH on July, 1, 1936 to Clifford and Octava (Kindred) Callahan. Charles was a self-employed jeweler and watchmaker and taught diamond setting and goldsmithing with E.J. Swigart Co. in Cincinnati. He was a member of the Ohio Watchmakers Association, Ohio Gun Collectors Association, Highland County Coon Hunters, life member of American Trap Shooters, National Muzzle Loaders, and a past member of the Masonic Lodge in Franklin for fifty years. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Harold, and two infant siblings Gary and Margaret Sue. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Barbara (Taylor) Callahan; children Beth Ann and husband Kenneth Young, Catherine Sue Hepburn; three grandchildren Rebekah, Rachael, and Seth; a brother Robert Callahan and wife Helen.
