James A. May, age 73, of Steamboat Rock, IA passed away on August 9, 2012 at Methodist Medical Plaza. Visitation will take place on Sunday, August 12 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax, IA. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 13 at 10:30 a.m. at the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax, IA. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Unionville, MO. Graveside service will begin at 3:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the ASPCA and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com. James Arthur May was the son of Norma (Robb) May and Arthur May and born on January 15, 1939 in Unionville, MO. He was a graduate of Nevada High School. James worked in the construction field for most of his life. He enjoyed gardening, home improvement projects, spending time with his family and antagonizing his dogs.
