Eugene Hager, 84, of Spirit Lake, formerly of Fort Dodge died on Tuesday January 10, 2012 at the VA Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. The funeral service was held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday January 16, 2012 at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel in Fort Dodge, IA. Eugene was born on February 26, 1927 to Franklin and Frankie Hager. He worked as a self-employed contractor and also worked for Ron Ulstad and Bill Robbins Construction companies. He enjoyed to go hunting and fishing. Eugene is survived by his sons Douglas Hager of Fort Dodge and Michael Hager of Spirit Lake, IA; 3 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; one sister and one brother. He was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Hager and his 15 siblings. [more]
