"Red" had been a member of the Maquoketa Fire Department for over 45 years, serving as Assistant Fire Chief for several years. He enjoyed watching football, especially the Bears and Hawkeyes, Nascar Racing and going to the local stock car races. "Red" is survived by his sons, Robert, Jr. "Bob" (Deb) Lane of Maquoketa, IA, and Kenneth "Ken" (Traci) Lane of Maquoketa, IA; 3 grandchildren, Matthew, Kristin and Ali; 1 step-grandchild, Ryne; and 2 step-great-grandchildren, Jayden and Rylan.
