Beverly J. Tutas Beverly "Bev" Tutas, age 80 years of Port Washington died Saturday, September 15, 2012, at Horizon Inpatient Hospice in Mequon. She was born June 25, 1932 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Glennon and Florence Harrower Webb. Bev was a 1950 graduate of Port Washington High School and attended University of Wisconsin, Madison. On August 19, 1954, she married Paul F. "Butch" Tutas at First Congregational Church in Port Washington. She worked as a medical assistant to many area doctors including Drs. John Walsh, Kenneth Pelant, Salvatore Del Rosario, Robert Pfeffer and Joan & Greg Gnadt for the past 60 years. Mrs. Tutas is a member of VFW 5373 Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 82 where she served as President. In addition, Bev served as President of Ozaukee County Legion Auxiliary, State of Wisconsin 2nd District President, State Community Service Chairman and State Director of VA Hospital Volunteers. She was also a member of the Port Washington Women's Club, and active in the former Windjammers Drum and Bugle Corps. , traveling, monthly card club, and family activities, especially attending her grandchildren's sports events. She is survived by her husband Paul, her sons Scott (Sandy) Tutas of West Bend, Dean (Valenda) Tutas and Todd (Katie) Tutas of Sheboygan, granddaughters Brittany Dippel, Bethany Tutas, Jennifer Tutas, Stacey Tutas, Ashley Tutas and Emily Schwarten, grandsons Riley Tutas, Maxwell Tutas and Jeremy Tutas. She is further survived by brother-in-law Dan (Mary) Tutas of Little Suamico and sister in law Katherine Tutas of Youngtown, AZ, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister Maxine E. Webb. Funeral Wednesday evening, September 19, 6:30 PM at First Congregational Church, 131 N. Webster St., Port Washington, with Pastor Jeff Suddendorf officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Port Washington. Visitation at the CHURCH Wednesday from 3-6 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Wisconsin American Legion Auxiliary Boudicca House, a transitional house for homeless female veterans at 3016 N. 45th St., Milwaukee, 53216, OR Camp American Legion appreciated. Special thanks to Columbia St. Mary's Ozaukee Hospital, Doctors Adam King and John Burfeind, and staff at Horizon Hospice.
