Loweta B. Glenn, age 96, of Albia, died on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at the Monroe Care Center in Albia. She was born on June 17, 1916 in Livonia, Mo to Noah and Pearl (Bringman) McFarland.
She married Perry Glenn on July 3, 1933 and they were blessed with five children: Dick, Chuck, Terry, Wayne, and Ed. She worked at the Monroe County Hospital in the kitchen. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the VFW Auxiliary in Albia.
She is survived by her children, Terry (Sharon) Glenn of Des Moines, Wayne (Linda) Glenn of Albia, and Ed Glenn and Wilma Kellogg of Albia, one sister, Wanda Vaal of Ottumwa, one daughter-in-law, Pat Glenn of Albia, eleven grandchildren, and numerous great and great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two children, Richard "Dick" and Charles "Chuck" Glenn
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the First Christian Church in Albia with Rev. Lynda Carlson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak View Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the Sinnott Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Albia opening to the public at 11:00 am and the family...[more]
