She wrote a brief history of her childhood and researched the Halliday Family Tree with her sister Louise. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Marie was a long-time member of Peace Lutheran Church in Fargo. She volunteered at the Fargo Food Shelf and the Telephone Pioneers of America and worked with her daughter on Habitat for Humanity. Marie is survived by her daughter, Patricia Hall (James) of Cambridge, WI, and her son, Russell Handegard (Kyle) of Fargo; four grandson Brent and Derek Westrum and Erick and Michael Handegard; three great-granddaughters, Bergen and Lila Westrum and Halle Handegard; a brother, David Halliday of Fargo, a sister, Shirley Giere (Silas) of Willmar, MN, a brother-in-law, Charles Lindstrom of Fergus Falls, MN and several nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, her ex-husband, her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Lorna Halliday; her sister, Louise Lindstrom. Services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 1011 12th Ave. N, Fargo North Dakota on Friday, October 5, at 1:00pm. Visitation will be one hour before the memorial service at the church.
