Elizabeth M. Nolte

Elizabeth M. Nolte, 87, of Dumont, Iowa, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2012, at the Franklin General Hospital in Hampton, Iowa. She was born March 5, 1925, in rural Franklin County, Iowa to Fred and Emma (Betten) Arends. Elizabeth attended rural Franklin County country schools. She was married on April 1, 1949, in Dumont, Iowa to Wallace Nolte. Elizabeth worked as a farm wife and also at the Dumont Nursing Home in housekeeping. She was a member of the Dumont Reformed Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher. She was also a member of the AK Club. Elizabeth enjoyed going fishing with Wallace, playing cards, especially 500, gardening, flowers, crocheting and bird watching. She is survived by her sister-in-law Eva Arends of Dumont, sister-in-law Marjorie Nolte of Dumont, nieces and nephews Virgil and wife Terry Arends, David and wife Dana Nolte, Harlan and wife San-d Nolte, Dennis and wife LaDonna Rops, Dean and wife Elaine Wessels, Wayne and wife Amy Nolte.
