tdoors. He enjoyed gardening and in his later years he had a little lawn mowing business, which he kept up until he suffered a heat stroke in his late eighties. Howard loved to play horseshoes and especially loved to go dancing. Howard passed away October 22, 2012 at the Corydon Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of 98 years. Preceding him in death was his wife Georgia in 2011; son, Alan Bishop; and siblings: Bob Bishop, Benny Bishop, Jim Bishop, Harold Bishop, Donna Gayle Stouffer, Billy Bishop, Freddie Bishop, and Wilda Clark. Surviving are his children: John (Linda) Bishop of Spokane, WA, Diane (Cork) Musick of Chariton, IA, Carol Bishop of Indianola, IA; daughter-in-law Sheryl Plate of Prairie City, IA; grandchildren: Roger (Erin) Bishop, Lisa Bishop, Kerri (Brad) Guthrie, Katie (Shawn) Werts, Ashley (Brad) Stream, Holly (Joey) Davis, Becky Bishop, Susie (Brandon) Schadek, Jonie (Chris) Rademacher, and Stephanie Jones (Tom); and 15 great grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings: Jean Chipp of Lucas, Shirley (Keith) Kent of Lucas, and Bouncer (Pat) Bishop of Ottumwa.
