Steven F. Bevelhymer, 55, of Ponca, NE passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 13, 2012 in rural Ponca, NE. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, October 26, 2012 at the Ponca School Gymnasium in Ponca, NE. Visitation with the family present will begin at 5:00 P.M. on Friday at the school. Steve was born in Sioux City, Iowa on July 6, 1957, the son of William and Helen (Snowe) Bevelhymer. He grew up in Ponca and graduated from Ponca High School in 1976. He married Bonnie McGill on April 27, 1990. He worked for the City of Ponca for the past 15 years. The couple also did custodial work for the Ponca School for several years. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Ponca and was involved with the Highland Oakes Golf Course in rural Ponca. Steve was preceded in death by his father, William Bevelhymer; sister, Lanell Bevelhymer Bobier; and brother-in-law, Robert Bobier.
