David Charles Thomas Edwards

David C.T. Edwards, age 32 of Newton, died Friday, October 26, 2012, at his home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax with burial following at the Colfax Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Monday, October 29, 2012, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family and condolences left at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com. The son of Dale T. "Wimp" and Margaret H. (Owens) Edwards, David was born on October 13, 1980, in Des Moines. David graduated from Colfax Mingo High School. He was united in marriage to Amanda Morrow and later divorced. David was an active duty member of the Iowa National Guard and also a member of the First Baptist Church in Colfax. Those left to honor his memory include his mother, Margaret Edwards of Marshalltown; his two children, Morgan and Mason of Colfax; a brother Wes Edwards of Williamsburg and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceding him in death was his father, grandparents, Dave and Doris Edwards and Charles and Esther Owens and an aunt, Kathleen Owens. [more]
