WEST LIBERTY, Iowa--Bernice L. Sloan, 90, of Muscatine, died on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at the United Methodist Church in Wilton. Visitation will be 9-10:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at the church, with Pastor Tom Zeleny officiating. Interment will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery, Muscatine. Sloan was born Oct. 14, 1922 to Walter and Irma (Connelly) Smith in Atalissa, Iowa. She married Walter Zon Sloan on Sept. 14, 1940, in Muscatine. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1979. She worked in the meat department at Paetz Super Value, Muscatine, for many years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Presbyterian Faith, and a former member of the Ladies of the Moose, Muscatine.
