Ruby Franks FRUITLAND, Iowa -- Ruby Franks, 83, of Fruitland, died on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at home in Fruitland. Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Burial will take place in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at the funeral home. Ruby was born on July 31, 1929, in Carnica, Oklahoma, the daughter of Kenneth and Martha Knox Force. She married Guy Franks on April 15, 1943, in Nogales, Mexico. Ruby stood side-by side over the years with Guy on his many business ventures. She had a strong affection for animals and loved raising cats. Ruby also enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing, and especially spending time with her family. She was always good for a hot cup of coffee and some straight advice.
