Michael Dean Nelson

Michael D. Nelson, 58, of Fort Dodge passed away on Monday, November 26, 2012. The memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Epworth United Methodist Church. Arrangements have been entrusted with Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Michael was born in Fort Dodge on September 12, 1954 to Dean and Bonny (Shipman) Nelson. He graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1972. He loved spending time with his family. He was a craftsman and loved working with wood, mushroom hunting, fishing, hiking and being outdoors. Michael is survived by his daughters Kathy and Melissa Nelson; grandsons Nate and Taeton; his mother Bonny; sisters Sharon Neavin and Char (Dana) Wolfe; sister-in-law Sue Nelson and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Keith Michael; his father Dean; his brother Jimmy and his grandparents. Memorials may be left to the family for their further discretion. [more]
