Funeral services for Ethel Maxine Lamp, 90, of Tipton who died Monday, December 3, 2012 will be held Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 10:30 am at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Rev. Ron Lashmit will be officiating. There will be a visitation at Fry Funeral Home from 4-7 pm on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. There will be a private burial at Tipton Masonic Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. On-line condolences may be shared at www.fry funeralhome.com. Ethel was born on February 24, 1922, in Cedar County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Edward C. and Edith M. Klinkkammer Schott. She attended rural Cedar County Schools while growing up. On March 2, 1943, Ethel was united in marriage to Vernon Henry Lamp in Davenport, Iowa. Ethel operated the Dew Drop Inn in Lisbon.
