Barbara J. Koenig

Barbara J. Koenig, 70, of Franklin passed away on December 5, 2012, from her short battle with lung cancer. She was born on May 16, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late Amzi R. Epeards and Mabel J. (Oldfield) Epeards. Mrs. Koenig worked at Avon in Springdale for 15 years. She was a dedicated and wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert L. Koenig, to whom she was married for 41 years. Also she had a nephew, niece and two brothers-in-law that precede her in death. Barbara is survived by her daughters: Brenda (Randy) Abney and Bonnie (Jack) Fisher all of Carlisle; grandchildren: Heather (Adam) Honican, Jason (Molly) Hatfield, Travis, Ty and Cody Fisher, step-grandchildren Brandy and Josh Abney; great-grandchildren: Heidi and Hayden Hatfield. She is also survived by her sisters: Florene (Marvin) Toler and Lorene Layne of Cincinnati, Ohio. She leaves behind several close friends, family, and her little dog, Daisy Mae.
