James L. Kennedy, age 69, of Beverly Hills, FL passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at HPH Hospice (Barrington Pl.).
James (Jim) was born on August 29, 1943 to Jay and Edna Kennedy. He graduated from Ellsworth Community School of Ellsworth, IA in 1961. Jim served his country in the U.S. Air Force and the Iowa Air National Guard. He worked at Iowa Beef Processing for over 15 years, owned his own restaurant, and later his own long haul trucking company. Jim retired to Beverly Hills, FL in 2005 where he was a volunteer for the Citrus Co. Sherriff Dept. "Citizens on Patrol".
Survivors include his son, Christopher of Clare, Iowa; daughter, Gayle Livermore of Coon Rapids, Minn.; brother, Gary Kennedy of Story City, Iowa; 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and his companion Gerry Oldenboom.
Visitation will be 10 A.M. Saturday, December 15, 2012 with the service to follow at 11 A.M. at the Northfield Church of Christ in Fort Dodge.[more]
