Harry Walter Marx MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Harry William Marx, 75, of Muscatine, passed away on Dec. 28, 2012, at Trinity Muscatine. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at the Geo. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Burial will take place in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Following the committal services a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Community Room. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Muscatine Humane Society in memory of Harry. Harry William Marx was born on February 8, 1937, in Muscatine, the son of Henry J. and Meta Schmarje Marx. Harry graduated from Muscatine High School in 1955, and attended Muscatine Community College. Harry was a farmer in the Muscatine area and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. He was a past member of the zoning commission, Republican Central Committee, Island Vegetable Growers and Farm Bureau.
