Sarah Hodges, 82, of Keokuk, IA., died early Monday morning, December 31, 2012 at Lexington Square.
She was born on January 8, 1930 in Butte, Montana, a daughter to Leonard and Ethyl Davis Rundle. Sarah married Lucien Charles Hodges on August 23, 1948 in Butte, Montana. He preceded her in death on July 30, 1990.
She lived in Keokuk since 1970. In her early years she was a Methodist. She enjoyed sightseeing, traveling and playing board games.
Sarah is survived by three children: one son, Dan Hodges and his wife Ann of Keokuk, Iowa; two daughters: Mary Stevens and her husband Dennis of Primghar, Iowa; Teresa Dunn and her husband Albert of Keokuk, Iowa; ten grandchildren: Amanda, Heather, Sarah, Jessica, Matthew, Keith, Rachel, Marshell, Wridge and Nikki; and eighteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, three brothers and one grandchild, Wendy.
Her body has been cremated
A celebration of her life and inurnment at Keokuk National Cemetery will be later in the spring.
