Scotty Lee Stinson

Scotty Lee Stinson, 50, of Keokuk, IA., died early Monday morning, January 7, 2013 at his home. He was born on August 4, 1962, in Keokuk, Iowa, a son to William Henry and Dolores Ann Mann Stinson. He was a lifelong resident of Keokuk. He was employed with Midwest Chipping Company as a logger. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Scotty is survived by his son, Joshua Gunning and his fiancé Laura Carr of Keokuk, Iowa; four grandchildren, Abbigail Gunning, Garrett Gunning, Avery Gunning, and Ethan Frazier all of Keokuk, Iowa; his mother, Delores Stinson of Keokuk, Iowa; eleven sisters and brothers, Robert Stinson of Keokuk, Iowa, Rose Ann Bringer of Canton, Missouri, William H. eath by his father; one brother, Timothy Stinson; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Mann; brother-in-law, Mike Bringer Sr.; niece, Misty Lynn Bringer; and nephew, Kelly Stinson. Visitation will be after 5:00pm with family meeting friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm, Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 917 Blondeau Street. A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 917 Blondeau Street with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Following the service, Scotty will be buried at Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk, Iowa. Memorials have been established for his grandchildren.
