Clara L. Hacker

Clara Hacker passed away on January 16, 2013 at Tompkins Memorial Health Center, at 94 years of age. She was born on July 3, 1918 at Buffalo Center, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence and Minnie (Meyers) Sperring. Clara graduated from Thompson High School in 1936. She was united in marriage to Lester Hacker on March 8, 1937 in Thompson, IA. Clara was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Fort Dodge. Clara is survived by her daughters Virginia (Jerry) Schweppe of Vincent, IA and Linda Powers (Duane Lyerly) of Manson, IA; 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Lester in 1995; her parents; 1 brother and 3 sisters. Clara's wish was to be cremated. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
