Roger spent the last year of his life at Good Samaritan Care Center in Forest City, making many friends with residents and staff, especially his roommate Leslie Anderson. He is survived by his wife Neoma of Britt; son, Steven (Leann) Boyken of Lakota, IA; daughter, Debra (Bruce) Kamp of Britt, IA; his brother, Duane (Shirley) Boyken of Mesa, AZ; his brother, Dean Boyken of Woden; his sister, Louise (Virgil) Heifner of Woden; his sister-in-law Susan Johnson of Iowa Falls; his brother-in-law, Harold Duane (Lea) Johnson of Alameda, CA; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, along with several close family friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Schwantje Boyken; his in-laws, Harold (Gladys) Johnson; his brother-in-law, Dustin Johnson and his daughter, Darla Kay Boyken.
