Lucille C. Roesner

Lucille C. Roesner was born on February 15, 1917, in Delafield Township, Jackson County, Minnesota to the late Albert August and Charlotte (Kuhnau) Rossow. She was baptized at an early age and later confirmed. Lucille received her education in rural District 66. On January 1, 1939, Lucille was united in marriage to Howard "Dick" Roesner at the Delafield parsonage. They then farmed in Belmont Township of Jackson County during their working years. Also, during this time, Lucille worked at the Sogge Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom as a therapist until retiring in 1980 after twenty years of devoted work. In 1986, Dick and Lucille moved to Windom and on April 5, 1988, Dick passed away. After his death, Lucille continued to live in Windom. In January of 2012, Lucille became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom where she passed away peacefully on January 30, 2013, at the age of 95 year. Lucille was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Windom. Lucille is survived by her four children, Roland Roesner and his wife, Joanne, of Windom; Arlen Roesner and his wife, Jan of Willmar; Diane Mathison and her husband, Ronald, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Carmyn Christopherson and her husband, HP "Bud", of Prior Lake; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Marietta Fink of Windom; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Howard "Dick" Roesner; two sons, Lyle and Darvin Roesner; three brothers, Alvin, Clarence and Harold; and three sisters, Dorothy, Anita and Myrtle. Blessed be the memory of Lucille C. Roesner.
