Florence Lehner

Florence M. Lehner was born October 11, 1919, the daughter of Richard and Pauline (Gronbech) in Emmetsburg, Iowa. She attended Emmetsburg Community Schools. On September 28, 1938, Florence was united in marriage to Dwight Lehner at the Assumption Catholic Church Rectory. The couple made their home in Emmetsburg. Florence was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Catholic Daughter's of the Americas (more than fifty years), and the Palo Alto County Hospital Auxiliary. She served as past president for Meals on Wheels. Florence was an active volunteer at the Iowa Welcome Center / Chamber of Commerce. On Thursday, September 20, 2007, Florence Lehner passed away at the Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg. She is survived by her son, Gene Lehner and his wife, Carol of Arvada, Colorado; two sisters: Alma Wheeler and Josephine Bliek of Emmetsburg; two granddaughters: Laura Winkler of Denver Colorado and Kirstin Goth of Carbondale, Colorado; and five granddaughters: Annie, Erica, Nichole, Sarah and Emily.
