Ronald Wickman

Ronald Wayne Wickman was born October 23, 1941, in Emmetsburg, Iowa, the son of Ralph and Bertha (McQuown) Wickman. He attended Rodman Community Schools. On August 21, 1961, Ron was united in marriage to Dianne Henely in Ayrshire, Iowa. The couple lived in Rodman where they raised their children. Ron worked in carpentry, owned gravel trucks with his brothers, and worked road construction. He then worked for the Palo Alto County Secondary Road Department in Cylinder, Iowa for over 24 years before retiring. He was a member of the Rodman Volunteer Fire Department. Ron was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He also liked to play cards with friends. Most of all, Ron loved to spend time with his family and friends. On Thursday, August 18, 2011, Ron passed away at his daughter's home near Marathon. He left this world in time to join his wife, Dianne, in heaven to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary which was on Sunday, August 21, 2011.
