Martha E. Studer

Casket bearers will be Martha's grandsons: Scott Studer, Jeff Studer, Kerry Studer, Dr. Jason Hough, Mike Hough, Richard Edwards and Jacob Edwards. Honorary Bearers will be Martha's granddaughters: Lisa Hubbard, Kelly Swanson, Allysen Lovstuen, Sarah Edwards and Erin Edwards. Martha, the daughter of Louis and Violet (Salisbury) Krug, was born on August 17, 1928 at West Bend, IA. On May 22, 1946, she was united in marriage to Alphonsus Studer in Mallard, IA. The couple farmed southeast of Mallard. Martha worked for several years in the medical field at the West Bend Care Center and the Palo Alto County Hospital. Martha passed away Monday, November 26, 2012 at the Palo Alto County Hospital at the age of 84. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Jim Studer of Mallard, IA, Dale Studer (Ingrid) of West Bend, IA, Deb Edwards (Rick) of Decorah, IA and Ellie Studer of Dickens, IA; son-in-law, Randy Hough (Dianne) of Emmetsburg; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Pete Krug of West Bend, IA, Earl Krug of Colorado Springs, CO and Frank Krug (Christel) of Bella Vista, AR; sister, Eleanor Cooper (Gary) of Fort Dodge, IA; sister-in-law, Gloria...[more]

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Violet; step-mother, Margaret; husband, Alphonsus, daughter, Cathy Hough; daughter-in-law, Jinner Studer; and two brothers: Louis and Richard Krug. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Martha's name.
