Cora Lee Walker

Ms. Cora Lee Walker was born on January 2, 1926, in Chambers County, Alabama, to Mrs. Aggie Jackson and Mr. Gillian Walker. On Saturday, June 13, 2009, this loving and caring voice was silenced as she entered into eternal rest. Ms. Walker loved the Lord, and at an early age she confessed Christ and joined the Greenwood Baptist Church. She lived in Cincinnati for many years; however, after returning to Lanett, she reunited with the Greenwood Baptist Church under the leadership of the Reverend James McTier. Ms. Walker was well known for her cooking and baking skills. She was instrumental in planning family gatherings. Ms. Walker was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Janie Shealey and Mrs. Laura Huguley; one brother, Mr. Amos Hicks.
