Funeral services for Harold E. Eiler, 93, of Tipton who passed in his sleep Wednesday, February 13, 2013 will be held Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 10:30 am at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, with Pastor Paul Frederiksen officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm Friday, February 15, 2013 at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial will be at Tipton Masonic Cemetery. A memorial has been established in his memory.
Harold was born October 22, 1919 to Henry and Edith Eiler. He graduated Tipton Consolidated School in 1938. He married Neola Woods of Mechanicsville, May 8, 1946. Harold served his country during WWII and he spent his life farming and raising Angus.
Harold was a member of Tipton American Legion, Tipton Methodist Church, a leader of the Center Ring Leaders 4-H for 18 years, a Tipton school board member, a Tipton Lions Club member for 50 years, and past officer in the Iowa Angus Association. The Eilers hosted 18 foreign students and guests through FFA, IFYE, and the Angus business.
