Our Busy Week in Boston: FI @ NFDA

We just returned from a busy, informative, and exciting week in Boston for the NFDA Annual Convention and Expo. Our team stayed active meeting with our clients, friends, partners, and prospects while also finding time to host our booth, present an educational session, and even host a fireside chat!

Here’s the rundown from Boston.

Using Digital Marketing to Generate Leads (Session)

Zack Garbow, co-founder, presented to 80 attendees about the power of Digital Marketing and how to effectively use Facebook, Email, and Landing Pages to create an online funnel to generate leads. Highlights of his talk included real life examples of how we’ve created digital marketing campaigns to generate pre-need leads, build funeral home’s mailing lists, and even poach customers from your competition.

Funeral Innovations’ Expo Booth (with Fidget Spinners!)

Our booth was a hit among attendees looking to learn about how they can use digital marketing to get real business results. We let visitors experience a “Customer Journey” on Facebook, to see first-hand how we use Facebook to reach your community, landing pages to generate leads, and email marketing to nurture them into sales-ready prospects. We also gave away some awesome FI-branded fidget spinners!

The Death of SEO (Fireside Chat)

Alex McCracken, VP of Sales, hosted a fireside chat which educated attendees on how to get the first call by building a community around their brand. While SEO is not dead yet, savvy funeral homes are making it obsolete by reaching people before they even have a need, then staying in front of them over time, while guaranteeing they get the first call when a need arises.

From Likes to Leads (Fidget Spinner Promo)

Not only did we give away these awesome Funeral Innovations fidget spinners, but we held a contest to give one lucky funeral home 100 fidget spinners branded with their company’s logo. Then using our brand new, proprietary Growth Engine software, we’ll magically convert those fidget spinners into foot traffic and leads for them!

What’s Next?

We’re settling back in from a busy week and are exciting about the upcoming, public launch of our all new Growth Engine. For the first time, the power of marketing automation will be accessible to every funeral home and cemetery! Stay tuned…
