Kurt Franz Koschorreck
October 5, 1925 - February 22, 2013

Kurt Franz Koschorreck age 87, of Timberland Village of Story City formerly of Ames, died Friday at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. A gathering of friends and family will be 5-7 p.m. Monday February 25, at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care 414 Lincoln Way in Ames. A 1:30 p.m. funeral service will be Tuesday Feb. 26, at Timberland Village 725 Timberland Drive in Story City, Iowa. Burial will be at Ames Municipal Cemetery.
Kurt was born October 5, 1925 in Germany, the son of Gustav and Emma Koschorreck. He grew up in Germany working for IBM in Berlin. He married Ruth Grossmann February 19, 1955 in Germany. In 1958, he had the opportunity to immigrate to the United States and was sponsored by Hach Chemical Company where he was employed until his retirement. He enjoyed the outdoors,nature, riding his bike and playing his accordion and harmonica.

Kurt is survived by his daughters, Gabriele (Brian) Wilbourn of Grand Prairie, TX; Christine (Chris) Brinkmeyer of Ames, grandchildren Lindsey and Ethan Wilbourn and Noah Brinkmeyer and great grandson Bailey Wilbourn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 sisters.
