Lynn "LC" Gaylord Christian
October 31, 1941 - February 25, 2013

Lynn Gaylord "LC" Christian of Ames died on February 25, 2013.
He was born on the Christian family farm in McCallsburg, Iowa to Gaylord and Lillian Christian on October 31, 1941.
Lynn started school at the Milford township school and went on to graduate from Ames High in 1959.
Lynn and his wife Mary were united in marriage on October 30, 1993, at First Christian Church in Ames.
Lynn was a retired firefighter for Ames, Iowa and a property manager for over thirty years.
He served in the United States Army, was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 37, a member of the 40/8 Voiture #285 Moose Lodge of Ames, member of the Lincoln Highway Association, founding member of the Marble Collectors Group, lifetime member of the 34th Division Association and a member of the First Christian Church of Ames, Iowa.
Lynn had a true passion for camping, traveling, garage sailing, he loved being outside and he had the greatest sense of humor and he could make you smile.
Lynn is survived by his wife Mary, step-daughter Christina Hopper of State Center, Iowa, step-son Tony (Jenny) Buschbom of State Center, Iowa. Granddaughters Megan, Morgan, Kaylee, Reagan and Reece. A sister-in-law, Marie Christian of Wilmington, Illinois and many loving nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Arlo and Jerry Christian and a niece Karla Walsh.
A gathering of family and friends will be at 1-3 p.m. Saturday, March 2nd at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care 414 Lincoln Way Ames, Iowa.
A memorial fund has been established in loving memory of Lynn.
